Approve the Agreement for Technical Services for Staff Development to Train Technology Integration Courses for the Series "Special Topics in Integrating Technology into the Curriculum" (Information and Technology Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Staff Development Department will offer the face-to-face series of technology integration courses for “Special Topics in Integrating Technology into the Curriculum,” January 17, 2010 through February 14, 2010. The providers will train 30 hours of technology integration to 90 participants at the Instructional Services Center. The courses in this series consist of a variety of technology topics. Each five-session, 30 in-service hour course is offered in response to the Florida Sunshine State Standards applied technology requirements. Teachers participating in the courses will learn to incorporate technology into their curriculum.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Funds of $11,083 are included in Technology Training, Staff Development Project 4503. Trainers are paid a fee, not to exceed a total of $1,165.20 (plus fringe), to teach technology integration face-to-face courses.

EVALUATION

Participants will complete an online course evaluation of the training.
