Approve Disposal of Obsolete Stores Inventory (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Per State Statute 274.05 and School Board Policy 7.10, the board may sell, transfer, or dispose of any real or tangible property, which they declare to be unnecessary or unsuitable for district purposes. The following departments have identified stock items that are obsolete or damaged: A/C and Refrigeration, Central Warehouse, Communications and Electronics, Maintenance Central, Maintenance East and the Transportation Department.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
There is no additional cost to the district, however, the stores inventories in the General Ledger will be decreased by $60,315.62. Many of the obsolete plumbing parts will be returned to the vendor for partial credit and used on future purchases. The total of the credit is $5,545.80. All proceeds received from the auction of the additional items will be deposited into the General Fund.
