EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On May 20, 2008, the Board appointed Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company to provide design and construction management services for installation, relocation, and removal of relocatable facilities. The scope of work includes replacement of combustible portables required for current student enrollment at 28 schools with 98 modular units meeting new construction standards. The scope provides for demolition of a total of 211 portables at 49 sites, and termination of the lease for an additional 19 portables in conjunction with the modular installation. Modular installation is scheduled for August 15, 2010, with completion of all demolition and site restoration scheduled for February 12, 2011.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $7,995.528.54. The construction budget is $7,995.528.54. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids (3,801,190.00) and Local Millage ($4,194,338.54).
