SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Agreement for Donation of Potable Water Facilities for a Fire Line at West Tampa Elementary School to the City of Tampa

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As part of the campus modifications at West Tampa Elementary School, the School Board was required to install certain potable water facilities for a fire line in the City of Tampa's service area. This separate line was necessary to service the new fire sprinkler system at Building 13 as part of the overall renovation project. The plans for the fire line, submitted by the School Board, were reviewed and approved by the City of Tampa's Water Department. The Agreement requires the School Board to donate these facilities to the City, with the City assuming ownership, maintenance, and operation and the School Board guaranteeing the facilities against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of thirteen months.
