Approve Modification of Contractual Impact to Board Agenda Item for Revision of its Purpose and the Disbursement of Funds for the MDRC Career Academies Project (Career and Technical Education - Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We request approval to modify the MDRC Career Academies Project agreement reference item A 5.06 approved on November 17, 2009.  Below lists the modifications in the new agreement.

    SITE BUDGET FORM
    -Reduced site coordinator salary & benefits by $250
    -Increased incidentals (non-personnel) by $250

    1. Facilitate Project Team and Academy/District Communications
    -Added f.
  • Revised Exhibit C
    2. Oversee Implementation of Intervention Components
    -Deleted f.
  • Revised Exhibit C
    A statement is added on the bottom of the last page to clarify confidentiality of student information.

EVALUATION
June 30, 2011-  As a result of this project, data collection will assist to identify best practices for Career Academy implementation and for the identification of student achievement gains related to Career Academy programming.
