SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Agreement for Technical Services for Occupational Therapy (OT) Services Provided for Students with Disabilities (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request the approval of the Agreement for Technical Services with Premier Occupational Therapy Services, LLC for OT services for students with disabilities. Federal Statute 468.203, State Board Rule 6A-6.03025 mandates school districts provide 100% of the OT services that are indicated on a student's Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Currently there is a national critical shortage of qualified OTs. Under the current district bid #4839-KJ for occupational and physical therapy services, the providers are unable to meet the service delivery needs of the district.
If approved, the contract with Premier Occupational Therapy Services, LLC will enable the district to serve students with disabilities with OT services as identified on the student's IEP. |
