Accept the Piggy-back Between Rivers Bus Sales, Inc., Utilizing the School Buses and Optional Equipment Contract, ITB 2010-16, and the State of Florida, Department of Education, for the Purchase of School Buses and Optional Equipment (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Applicable Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Rule 6A-1.012, and district policy allows purchases from contracts awarded by other governmental agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. This practice reduces procurement administrative costs.
The district will be utilizing the State of Florida, Department of Education, agreement to purchase thirty-one school buses and optional equipment. FLDOE has prepared and awarded annual term contracts for the purchase of various types of school buses and optional equipment and made the contract available to district school boards in order to facilitate this service. The initial term of this award is for one year from June 30, 2010 to June 30, 2011, with one, one-year renewal option. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications. |
