EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Florida Department of Education declares the week of February 7-11, 2011, "National School Counseling Week" and "Student Services Week." During the month of February, local principals and school district personnel recognize the positive work of these staff members which strengthens student learning and family/community involvement. This School Board recognition acknowledges the important role that school counselors and college and career counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, school social workers, student intervention specialists, and dropout prevention specialists play in the academic, personal/social, emotional development, career development, and health of students in our school district. | |
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health | |
