On May 11, 2011, the districtwide Middle School Math League Competition will be held for students to compete in grade-level teams for both team and individual awards. Responding to challenging mathematical problems, students must strategize independently as well as cooperatively within a team. To prepare for competition, students practice throughout the school year with a teacher-coach. Approximately 550 students will participate in the Math League competition to win trophies for their schools and for themselves.

This agreement has been reviewed by the school board attorney as to form and sufficiency.  The agreement will be in effect retroactively beginning February 15, 2011, due to the Board-approved change in meetings from February 15, 2011, to February 22, 2011, which was approved on January 18, 2011.
