Review of the Title I Funding Process and the Support Provided to the Title I Schools in the Area of Parent and Family Involvement (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
An overview will be provided regarding how the school district acquires Title I funding and the decisions that are made in order to maximize the use of these funds. A required component of No Child Left Behind is the support that must be provided to parents and families at Title I schools. An overview will be provided that shows how the district is building capacity in the area of Parent and Family engagement. | |
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
The district receives approximately $50 million dollars annually from the Federal Title I grant. | |
