Approve Design Development Phase for Renovation at Chiaramonte Elementary School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On October 5, 2010, the Board appointed Wilder Architecture, Inc. to provide design services. On October 26, 2010, the Board appointed Horus Construction Services, Inc. to provide construction management services. The scope of work provides for remodeling of classrooms to add student restrooms and replace wood partitions; new casework, flooring, wall finishes and signage; new doors and hardware; sealing of exterior brick and restoration of the concrete canopy; a new cooler/freezer; replacement fire alarm, security and intercom systems and a new fire sprinkler system; handicap accessibility upgrades; renovation of gang toilets; renovation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system and electrical system; new classroom aids; new low-flow plumbing fixtures and energy efficient lighting, including additional exterior lighting; and upgrades to faculty and staff toilets. Project completion is scheduled for August 2011. |
