Approve Use of Facilities Agreement with Tampa Knights Futbol Club, Inc., a/k/a "RSL Florida" at Monroe Middle and Lanier Elementary Schools

On February 9, 2010, the School Board approved the Use of Facilities Agreement with Tampa Knights Futbol Club, Inc., a/k/a "RSL Florida" (RSL) for the use and maintenance of fields located at Monroe Middle School and Lanier Elementary School.  RSL is a not-for-profit corporation that operates youth recreational soccer programs.  The Agreement was for a term of one year and RSL has approached the School Board for permission to again utilize the  same fields at Monroe and Lanier.

The new Agreement between the School Board and RSL will be for the use of fields located behind Monroe Middle and east of Lanier Elementary, including the area encompassed by the track.  RSL may also have use of the schools' paved parking area when not being used by either school.  RSL will be responsible for the maintenance of these fields, including the electricity for the lighting and to operate the well pump that irrigates the fields.  This Agreement shall be for a one (1) year term from the effective date with two one (1) year renewal options and no fees will be charged to RSL in exchange for the maintenance of the site.

The cost of maintaining the fields at Monroe Middle and Lanier Elementary Schools will be the responsibility of RSL.  RSL will also be responsible for the cost of electricity to operate the well pump for irrigation and for field lighting.
