SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Accept the Piggyback of Bid 10C-52B, Career and Technology Ed. (S.T.E.M.) Supplies and Equipment - Catalog Discount Between Pocket Nurse and the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida, for the Purchase of Health Science Equipment and Supplies (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The district will be utilizing the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida, agreement to purchase medical simulation supplies for the Health Science classes in Career and Technical Education.  The initial term of the contract is from March 25, 2010 through March 24, 2015.   Applicable Florida Department of Education rule 6A1.012 and school district policy allows purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies and district school boards.

• Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals • Demonstrate best financial practices
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
Funds of approximately $65,000 will be available in the General Fund.
EVALUATION
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team.  Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report.  Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
