Requesting Approval of the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Add-On Endorsement Program (Programs for English Language Learners)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools is requesting approval of the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Add-On Endorsement Program for 2011 through 2016.  The district's ESOL Add-On Program has been revised to meet the requirements of the 1990 META (Multicultural Education, Training, and Advocacy) Consent Decree and the Florida Teacher Standards for ESOL Endorsement.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
There will be no cost to the district.
EVALUATION
An annual review is conducted to determine program effectiveness of the in-service training and carryover effects to the instructional setting.
