EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On March 29, 2006, the Procurement Department, on behalf of the Facilities Division, issued a Request for Proposal for the lease of land for wireless tower use. The purpose of the RFP was to establish a partnership with a qualified contractor to lease space for wireless towers. Firms were asked to provide their knowledge/experience, implementation plan, references, and cost. The initial term for the award was from June 6, 2006 to June 5, 2011, with five renewal terms of five years each, and all terms and conditions of the Master Agreement remaining in full force and effect. This will be the first five-year extension. | |

This is a revenue generating contract. Proceeds will be provided to the school leasing the land with the district retaining a portion for overhead/management. Last calendar year, schools received approximately $360,000 in proceeds. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Purchasing Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an on-line vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
