EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On June 14, 2005, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Safety and Risk Management Department, issued an RFP for professional services to provide physical examinations, OTETA drug testing, random/post accident drug/alcohol testing. The medical service provider conducts physical examinations and drug testing required for pre-employment hires, exams for classifications where physical duties greatly vary, return to work clearance, and other special services required by the district and/or local, state and federal laws and regulations.
The initial term for this award was from August 10, 2005 to August 9, 2011, with two additional one-year renewal options, negotiable yearly. The supplier has agreed to renew for the period beginning August 10, 2011, and ending August 9, 2012, with prices, terms, and conditions to remain unchanged. |

The estimated annual contract total is between $160,000 and $170,000, based on the last 12 months' expenditures. These funds will be included in the General Fund and the Safety and Risk Management Department budgets. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
