This bid was prepared at the request of the CCTV/LAN Department to establish fixed pricing for wireless Xirrus products to support the district's Local Area Networks.  MCS of Tampa, Inc. is one of Xirrus' premiere distributors and is a Tampa-based, minority-owned business.  The Supervisor of Networking/Closed Circuit TV and Audio Visual Repair has reviewed this recommendation.  A more detailed review of the specifications can be obtained by contacting the Procurement Department.

The initial term of this contract will be for a one-year period, with four one-year renewals, subject to negotiations and mutual agreement.  The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement, per the terms of the specifications.

With the exception of inventory, all Xirrus purchases will be funded by each individual site, estimated to be $150,000 in the coming year.   Additional funds will be available in CCTV/LAN's budget for the purchase of inventory products and services to support the district's wireless systems. 

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
