Approve School Board Meeting Schedule Change | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
When establishing the School Board meeting calendar, the meetings in July are planned around the Truth in Millage (TRIM) Calendar. The current meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, 2011 is the initial draft of the FY 2011-2012 Budget. The agenda item at this meeting seeks approval for the budget advertisements to be placed in the newspaper the later part of July. This situation has occurred because of a mandatory Gates Foundation convening meeting scheduled the week of July 18, 2011. This will impact the Superintendent, Carol Kurdell, and various senior staff members who are required to attend.
It is recommended that the meeting of Tuesday, July 19, 2011 be moved to Monday, July 18, 2011 at 3 p.m. This will allow us to hold a meeting within 24 days of the certification of taxable value within the jurisdiction of the school district. |
