Approve Districtwide Comprehensive Safety Inspections Annual Report | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Florida Statute 1013.12 mandates an annual comprehensive fire safety, casualty, and sanitation inspection be conducted at facilities under the jurisdiction of the School Board. Two hundred sixty-six inspections were conducted during the 2010-2011 school year. The completed inspections are available for review at the District Safety Office, and a copy will be forwarded to the State Fire Marshal's Office (as required by Florida Statute 1013.12). Deficiencies that posed an imminently dangerous condition were immediately reported by the Fire Safety Inspector for priority correction. Each deficiency in this category was expedited upon receipt and resolved--none remain at this time. The consolidated inspection report is attached. | |

During the 2010-2011 school year, approximately $44,017 was expended from the following funds to correct 3,980 health, life, and safety deficiencies: School Supply Budget $0; Maintenance Budget - $23,717; Planning and Construction Budget (included in scheduled renovations) - $20,300. | |
