Approve the Memorandum of Understanding Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (SBHC) and Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA Success After School for the Implementation and Operation of Before School and After School Programs (YMCA) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The SBHC and YMCA have partnered to provide school-age care since 1981.  For 30 years, the strength of this collaboration has ensured quality care for students and families in our community.   The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to establish an agreement between SBHC and YMCA concerning their respective roles and responsibilities.  This memorandum of understanding is in effect July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.  See attached.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
•Â Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The amount of $317,804 will be the amount of the facility usage for the period mentioned, July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, to the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA by SBHC Budget Department for programs located at 28 elementary sites.  These dollars will be used to compensate for the cost of electricity and custodial supplies.
EVALUATION
Bi-annual principal and parent surveys will be conducted by SBHC and the YMCA and results shared with SBHC and the YMCA.  Parent and Student Satisfaction Surveys will be among the tools used for evaluation.  Surveys will employ a Likert scale, which asks respondents to specify their level of agreement to a statement.
