Approve License Agreement Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and Bay Coffee & Tea Company at Dr. Samuel J. Horton Instructional Services Center Building

In 2010 the School Board of Hillsborough County entered into a License Agreement with Bay Coffee & Tea Company to operate a self-contained kiosk that would provide certain beverages and light lunch products for sale inside the Dr. Samuel J. Horton Instructional Services Center (ISC) Building.  The service accommodates School Board employees at the ISC Building and also trainees attending seminars and workshops.

School Board staff and Bay Coffee have negotiated a new Agreement and thereby deem the previous Agreement void. The Hillsborough County Health Department has determined that Bay Coffee's operation at the ISC needs to be connected into public water and sewer systems.    The required improvements are estimated to cost between $8,500 and $10,000.  Bay Coffee will be responsible for funding the improvements and will submit these funds to the School Board prior to commencement of construction.  The term of the License Agreement is three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. Bay Coffee will pay $100 monthly for the provision of utility services. 

The funds necessary for the improvements for Bay Coffee & Tea Company's License Area at the Dr. Samuel J. Horton Instructional Services Center Building, estimated to be from $8,500 to $10,000, will be paid by Bay Coffee by July 14, 2011. The Improvements will become the property of the School Board of Hillsborough County.
