SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Use of Facilities Agreement Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Tampa Bay Youth Football League for Field Use at Manhattan Center |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Tampa Bay Youth Football League has requested the use of the field at Manhattan Center for the Bay Area Raiders 2011 football and cheerleading season beginning July 19, 2011 and ending December 31, 2011. The League has been using the field at Manhattan each year for a number of years to provide football and cheerleading instruction to children between the ages 5 to 17. The League does not require the School Board to provide any field preparation, set up, security or clean up services, nor does it require entrance into Manhattan Center for bathroom facilities. Since the League has a long relationship with the Boys and Girls Club located adjacent to the field, the Club will provide the League with the necessary bathroom and storage facilities. The League will be using the field for a maximum of 7.5 hours per week and the parents, players and the team have been cooperative and responsible about the field maintenance over the past several years during their usage. |
|
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
The use of the field at Manhattan Center by The Tampa Bay Youth Football League will not have any financial impact to the School Board of Hillsborough County.
