Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation at Ferrell Middle School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On November 3, 2009, the Board appointed the engineering firm of ASR Engineering, Inc. to provide design services. On May 18, 2010, the Board awarded the contract for construction to the low bidder, J.O. DeLotto & Sons, Inc. The scope of work provided for renovation of the HVAC system on the majority of the campus and included new cooling and air handling equipment; new ductwork; and a new energy management system. The project scope also included new lighting and ceilings, and added a fire sprinkler system to the main building. The engineer advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance. |
