EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The district will be utilizing the Florida Sheriffs Association agreement to purchase two Ford F-350 pickup trucks for use by the Maintenance Department. These new trucks will be replacing two 1995 GMC C1500 trucks, unit numbers 3219 and 3220, that were deemed beyond economical repair.
The term of the referenced contract is for one year beginning October 29, 2010 through September 30, 2011. Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) rule 6A-1.012 and district policy allow purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications. |

Funds not to exceed $63,000 will be available in the general operating budget. Hillsborough County Public Schools will save approximately $3,300 by purchasing vehicles in stock at the dealer, saving 8 to 10 weeks lead time in the traditional ordering process. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
