| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| As a Best Business Practice, our district has standardized commercial playground equipment. We will be working with Miracle Recreation Equipment Company in an effort to provide consistent configurations, dependable repair service, and adhere to safety regulations. Expenditures in the last fiscal year were primarily generated from Head Start, internal accounts, and matching funds.
Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) rule 6A-1.012 and district policy allow purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) was able to negotiate deeper discounts with Miracle (see Attachment A). The current term of the contract is valid until August 23, 2013. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications. |
