Presentation of School Recycling Awards (Facilities Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A competition was held this past school year from April through the end of school in June 2011 to determine which schools were generating the most pounds of recycling material per student. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in the elementary, middle, high and non-traditional school categories. There will also be an award for the overall district champion recycler and the recycling coach of the year. |

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce • Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities • Demonstrate best financial practices • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning | |

There is no financial impact. The awards have been donated by the School Board's recycling vendor, Republic Services. | |
