Approve Land Transaction Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and Hillsborough County for Improved Stormwater Drainage at the Hanna Warehouse Site 

Staff of the Public Works Department of Hillsborough County requested to purchase a portion of School Board of Hillsborough County property located at the northern boundary of the Hanna Warehouse site on Hanna Avenue and Bonacker Drive.  The County has proposed improvements to the stormwater drainage in this area and developed a plan that would require .85 +/- acres of the overall 6.54 +/- acres owned by the School Board to complete this project.  The area requested by the County is presently used as a minor drainage area.

The property was appraised and a value of $92,800 established for the .85 +/- acre portion necessary for the drainage project.  The County has also requested a Right of Entry Agreement allowing them to enter the School Board site during the construction phase.

The $92,800 received by the School Board of Hillsborough County from Hillsborough County for the purchase of .85 +/- acre portion of the northern boundary at the Hanna Warehouse site will be placed into Land Proceeds.
