Approve the Administrative Appointment of the Principal Coach for Area V (Administration Division) |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY |
This newly approved position will provide day-to-day feedback and coaching for novice principals and assistant principals as they transition from the classroom to the principal's office. This new initiative is part of the "Wallace Foundation Principal Pipeline" that selected only six districts across the country to participate. These coaches will assist the Director of Leadership in redefining the role of the principal, providing high-quality prescriptive training, engaging a more rigorous selective hiring process, and promoting on the job evaluation and support. |

The Principal Coach position will be fully funded through 2014, from the Race to The Top grant in the amount of $115,353.93.
