Approve Change Order No. 3 for 2011 Modular Installations at Multiple Sites | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On May 3, 2011, the Board approved the addition to Community Investment Tax projects for replacement of obsolete and non-economically repairable facilities with modular buildings. District staff selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services for a portion of the portable replacement requirements. The scope of work provides for demolition of existing portables and installation of new modular classrooms at 16 sites. (A list of sites is included in the attachment.) This change order adds the installation of four modular buildings at Manhattan Center to the project scope. A time extension of 33 calendar days is included to provide for accomplishment of the work. As this change order is for an amount greater than $100,000, Board approval is required. |
