| Approve Addendum of Television License Agreement with Bright House Networks to Televise Athletic Contests 2011 Through 2014 (Athletics Department) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| We request approval of the addendum to the original Television License Agreement with Bright House Networks to telecast on a live or tape delayed basis, a minimum of four regular-season boys and girls athletic contests in each year of the term (2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2013/2014). Broadcast and rights fees will be paid by Bright House Networks to the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida. The original agreement was approved by the School Board on September 4, 2008, and amended on October 7, 2008. Bright House Networks will continue to provide proof of insurance naming the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida as an additional insured. | |

Annual rights fees will be used to supplement district gate receipts. Broadcast fees of $500 will be split between both schools participating in play. Annual rights fees will be increased by $3,500 for the 2011/2012 school year, and $3,000 for the 2012/2013 school year. Additionally, the 2013/2014 school year rights fees of $20,000 have been added. |
