Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida Out of School Time Program (HOST) and Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc. (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
HOST has partnered with the Seniors in Service Program since the early 1990's. This collaboration continues to be a rewarding and successful program that provides the opportunity for the elderly community to remain independent, while volunteering with the students in the after-school setting at Bing, Cork, Mendenhall, Mort, Muller, Palm River, Rampello, Riverview, Seminole, and B.T. Washington Elementary Schools. The purpose of this MOU is to establish an agreement between HOST and Seniors in Service concerning their respective roles and responsibilities for the successful implementation and operation of the program. This program is in effect November 9, 2011 through June 30, 2012. This MOU was received in the HOST office on September 30, 2011. | |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
The Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc. will invoice the HOST program monthly, based on the number of volunteers at the rate of $3.15 per hour, per volunteer at ten elementary schools. | |
EVALUATION | |
Annual evaluations will be conducted by the HOST Administrative Team. | |
