Approve the Disposal of Four Surplus Vehicles from the Fleet Maintenance Section of the Transportation Department

Attached is a list of surplus vans returned from Tampa Bay Academy Charter School to be considered for disposal.  It is recommended that the vehicles be sold at public auction using the services of Tampa Machinery Auction or sold for scrap if no bid can be obtained.  The vehicles were evaluated, and it was determined that repair costs exceed their current value.  Copies of the inspection forms are on file at the Transportation Department and are available upon request.

The District will receive approximately 90% of the sale price of the vehicles.  The auctioneer will retain approximately 10%.
