SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Reorganization of the District Safety Office
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This reorganization was initiated as a result of the upcoming retirement of a current safety specialist, and the continued need to outsource some environmental tasks.  Reorganization of this office will result in the hiring of an Environmental Inspector (job description - Attachment A), and a Safety Specialist - Claims (job description previously approved).  Both of these positions will continue with current duties of the safety specialist and claims representative, as well as additional duties.  The cost for this reorganization and savings can be found in the financial impact section as well as on Attachment B.  Organizational charts are attached (current chart - Attachment C; revised chart - Attachment D).
