Accept the Highest Ranked Proposal Submitted by Superior Uniform Group - Request for Proposal (RFP) #11036-DST Work Uniforms (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On May 23, 2011, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with various district departments, issued an RFP for work uniforms. Seven firms responded and a committee of district personnel from Administration, Custodial, Maintenance, Transportation, Security, Student Nutrition Services, and Hillsborough School Employees Federation evaluated their proposals and recommended awarding to Superior Uniform Group.
Standard uniforms shall be issued to all employees who are required to wear uniforms. The annual allotment of uniforms shall consist of ten pieces of the employee's choice per year. Uniforms are not purchased for an employee until they have completed the probationary period and achieved permanent status. |

Annual district spend for uniforms is approximately $786,000. Funds for uniforms will be available in the various department budgets. The district negotiated placing orders using district P-cards, which will result in a rebate of $12,183. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
