Recognition of Suncoast for Kids Foundation Scholarship Summer and Fall 2011 Recipients (Human Resources Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Suncoast for Kids Foundation Scholarship was made possible due to a donation from the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, facilitated by Mary Tlachac to the Education Foundation.
This scholarship provides current support personnel the funding necessary to continue their educational goals to become highly qualified Hillsborough County Public Schools classroom teachers. In addition, this scholarship gives the District, the ability to "grow our own" teachers and hire from within the school system. Since Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union began funding this scholarship, there have been over 10 recipients who are now teachers in our district. There are 17 recipients: Grecia Astacio-Brea, Amber Bowling, Blanca Caudillo, Shanon Cervi, Maria Chevez, Stacie Gamble, Nadra Gardezi, Walter Gibbons, Maggie Lalone, Deborah Mancuso, Anissa McNeil, Keysha Mercado, Claribel Ortiz, Xiomara Previti, Terri Raby, Marie Warenchak, and Kelly Yagins. |
