EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Florida Department of Education's Division of Career and Adult Education requires school districts to submit proposals in a consolidated format for the federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 (Perkins IV).  The purpose of this act is to support Career and Technical Education and is to be achieved by: increasing the number of students taking rigorous curriculum, increasing high school graduation rates, increasing student choice and acceleration to postsecondary, and reducing the number of students needing postsecondary remediation and increasing numbers continuing on to postsecondary education.
