SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve an Agreement for Technical Services with Frameworks of Tampa Bay, Inc. (Frameworks) to Provide Summer Camps for Students Enrolled at Franklin Middle Magnet School (Boys Preparatory Academy) and Ferrell Middle Magnet School (Girls Preparatory Academy) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of an Agreement for Technical Services with Frameworks who will provide four summer camps, two for students enrolled at Boys Preparatory Academy and two for students enrolled at Girls Preparatory Academy.  The camps include the following topics, grade levels, dates, and times:

  • Leadership Camp for rising 7th and 8th grade boys (80), June 18 – 22, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Leadership Camp for rising 7th and 8th grade girls (80), June 18 – 22, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Transition Camp for rising 6th grade boys (80), July 16 – 19, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Transition Camp for rising 6th grade girls (80), July 16 – 19, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  

All camps will be held at Boys Preparatory Academy, as Girls Preparatory Academy will be closed during the summer; however, the boys’ camps will be separate from the girls’ camps.

• Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The summer camps will be funded through independent/private funds with a total cost of $48,675.
EVALUATION
The provider will submit a written program analysis report by August 31, 2012.
