EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Odyssey of the Mind is an international education program whose mission is to provide creative problem-solving opportunities for students kindergarten through college.  Through solving open-ended problems, students develop creative thinking skills that can be applied to real life situations.  Teams throughout the United States and more than 20 countries participate in the program.  There are three levels of competition:  regional, state and world.  Our district had 32 teams from 17 schools participate in the regional competition.

A team from Progress Village Middle Magnet School will have the honor of representing our district at the Odyssey of the Mind World Competition at Iowa State University, May 23 – May 26, 2012.  We are proud to recognize this team for their accomplishments.
