SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Acceptance of Project for Renovation at Apollo Beach Elementary School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Five Year Plan provided for renovation of Apollo Beach Elementary School. The Board appointed John J. McKenna Architect P.A. and The Morganti Group, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. Interior renovations included accessibility improvements to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; upgrades to lighting, the fire alarm system, and signage to meet current standards; general painting and ceiling replacement throughout the campus; the addition of fire sprinklers for Building 1; and replacement of marker boards and cabinets where needed. Exterior work included roof repairs, and ingress and egress improvements.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
