| Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Todd Whitaker, Ph.D. (Administration Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Todd Whitaker is a professor of educational leadership at Indiana State University and a Professional Development and Education Consultant for teachers and principals. This agreement is for professional technical services and is exempt from the bid process.
Todd Whitaker is recognized as a leading presenter in the field of education. He will present on the topic, "What Great Principals Do Differently" to the administrators of Hillsborough County Public Schools on June 26, 2012. This session will reveal what the most effective principals do differently than their colleagues. The attendees will develop and enhance their skills in effectively leading their schools and organizations. Participants will leave the session knowing what great principals do differently, why it makes them more effective, and how to immediately implement each of these practices in their school setting. |

| Funds in the amount of $10,000 will be available from the Wallace Foundation grant, project 2100. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| There will be two methods of evaluation used. The effectiveness of the speaker’s presentation will be evaluated by principals in attendance, and each principal will submit an implementation plan including important strategies learned in the session. Plans will be supported and monitored by Area Leadership Directors. | |
