SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Nonfinancial Agreements for Educational Services for Adult Education Programs, Various Sites, 2012/2013 and 2012/2014 (Adult Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the standard form Agreement for Educational Services with Nonschool Site Organizations and Programs Nonfinancial which provides local agencies with a model for cooperation and assurances that the agencies involved are fully committed to the coordination of educational service delivery for adults.

Classes offered at the nonschool sites indicated on the attached list for 2012/2013 (one year contracts) and 2012/2014 (two year contracts) include Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Educational Development (GED) preparation and instruction for students seeking to earn a state of Florida high school diploma, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Permission is requested to add and/or delete sites as necessary to meet the needs of the community.

In addition to the lists of contracts, sample copies of a one year contract and a two year contract are also attached.

Classes will generate Workforce Development Education funds.  Classroom space is provided at the nonschool sites at no cost to the district.
EVALUATION
Evaluation is performed by the Director of Adult Education.  Continuous reviews are conducted using student attendance and performance reports.  The opening and closing of Adult Education subsites is driven by workforce data reporting.
