Approve Florida Junior Golf Council Grant Agreement for Elementary Physical Education Instruction 2012/2013 (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Florida Junior Golf Council is providing funding for teacher training and for the purchase of The First Tee National School Program Curriculum manuals for 66 elementary physical education teachers. The training will take place on August 15, 2012, and the program implementation will conclude in June 2013. The First Tee National School Program Curriculum manuals will be delivered to the teachers upon completion of the training. This funding source will enable the district to add an additional 66 sites to the already existing 78 sites that have received the training, manuals, and equipment. | |

If approved, 66 elementary schools will each receive $196.97 worth of training and curriculum manuals from the Florida Junior Golf Council Grant for a total of $13,000. | |
EVALUATION | |
Teachers will be surveyed at the conclusion of the grant period to document student progress pertaining to basic skills, concepts, core values, and healthy habits. | |
