Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Career Compass, LLC (Administration Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The President of Career Compass, Hayley Norman, is an expert on mentoring, who speaks to audiences worldwide about the topic. Career Compass will develop a comprehensive assistant principal mentoring program specifically designed to meet the goals and requirements outlined by Hillsborough County’s Principal Pipeline. This system is built to provide the knowledge and skills that mentors will need to effectively mentor their assigned assistant principal during a two-year program. The system will include ongoing training, individual feedback to mentors, and program oversight. | |

Funds in the amount of $56,125 will be available from the Wallace Foundation grant, Project 2100. | |
EVALUATION | |
The evaluation will include feedback from mentors as to the effectiveness of the training program. A second component of the evaluation will include feedback from assistant principals who are assigned mentors and the impact these mentors have had on their practice. | |
