SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Accept the Piggyback of Bid #CL-108RJ, Teaching Aids, Equipment and Supplies, Between Hampden Engineering Corporation and School District of Volusia County, Florida, for the Purchase of Air Conditioning Training Equipment (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The equipment and supplies are being purchased for the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Technology program housed at Tampa Bay Technical High School. This comprehensive program includes all aspects of the 1,350 hour adult vocational curriculum framework, which prepares adult students for employment as helper, mechanic assistant, mechanic I and II, and technician in the air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating technology field. The curriculum also includes the Florida Department of Education requirements of employability skills, safety, and math for technicians.

Funds of $211,690 are available through Workforce Reserve, Project 9003. The district saved over $10,000 from the list pricing on the piggyback contract. 
EVALUATION
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team.  Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report.  Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
