Approve Renewal Memorandum of Agreement with the Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office, Inc. (DACCO) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The DACCO and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, enter into this agreement to provide a program of substance abuse prevention at select middle and high schools. The program is known as the New Directions Substance Abuse Prevention Program. This service partnership has existed for 23 years.
Agency services will include group and individual counseling. The Supervisor of School Social Work Services and agency staff from DACCO will meet to implement these services at Adams, Liberty, Monroe, and Shields middle schools and Armwood, Freedom, Lennard, and Robinson high schools. Effective dates are July 18, 2012, through June 30, 2013. |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No) | |
The district provides office space for these services at the assigned schools. Approximate in-kind support from the district for this space and custodial support is $20,000 per year. | |
EVALUATION | |
Program services are evaluated at least twice a year. The joint management team will review, quarterly and annually, outcome data on all clients served. Input will also be solicited from the administrators of the participating schools. | |
