EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On July 1, 2012, Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc. (Eckerd) became the lead child welfare agency in Hillsborough County, replacing Hillsborough Kids, Inc. Eckerd was awarded this contract by the Florida Department of Children and Families after a community-wide search. This memorandum of agreement is designed to identify common goals and cooperative efforts needed to serve students known to Eckerd and the district. |

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
Eckerd’s services are provided by their contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families. School Social Work Services, working with school-based and district staff members, will serve as the primary liaison for this cooperative effort with Eckerd. The estimated annual cost to the district for this partnership is $10,000. | |
EVALUATION | |
Administrators from Eckerd, Florida Department of Children and Families, and School Social Work Services will meet at least quarterly to evaluate the scope of services and to make additional plans. Aggregate student performance data will be utilized to determine the success of students in school. | |
