| Approve Renewal of Agreements for Technical Services Provided to Visually Impaired Grant (Curriculum and Instruction Division, Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired – FIMC-VI) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| We request approval of Agreements for Technical Services for continuing services listed on Attachment A that are provided to FIMC-VI annually.
Since 1972, the Florida Department of Education/Bureau of Exceptional Student Education (FLDOE/BEESS) continues to support FIMC-VI with federal IDEA/Part B, IDEA Trust Funds, and State General Revenue appropriations to meet the instructional materials needs of students with visual impairments enrolled in Florida's schools. As defined by Florida Statute, 1003.55, FIMC-VI will produce, procure, distribute, recirculate, and house specialized materials for students who are blind and visually impaired. Hillsborough County Public Schools has served as FIMC-VI’s headquarters for the past 39 years. |

| Funds of $247,700 are included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget (Project 2317) and $75,297.50 (Project 2339) FIMC-VI. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| As required in the Additional Assurances included in the 2012/2013 Project Application, quarterly data reflecting all project activities will be maintained in the FLDOE/BEESS Project Tracking System and Professional Development Portal. | |
