EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On July 20, 2010, the Board approved the purchase of districtwide global positioning systems (GPS) from Synovia, Inc. The initial term of the contract was for three years from July 21, 2010. The contract may be renewed by the Superintendent for two additional one-year periods, provided all terms and conditions remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
Annual maintenance fees cover GPS software, comparative analysis, and time and attendance for 1,420 school buses and GPS software for 38 fleet vehicles. The total annual fee is $79,620 and is firm for a period of four years totaling $318,480. |

EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
