Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation at Lockhart Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Five Year Plan provided for renovation of the HVAC system at Lockhart Elementary School. The Board previously appointed VoltAir Consulting Engineers, LLC  to provide design services, and approved award of the contract for construction to Vogel Bros. Building Co. The scope of work provided for renovation of the existing HVAC system and associated controls; new fire sprinkler, fire alarm, intercom, and security systems; new ceilings and energy efficient lighting; replacement of the emergency generator; and correction of related life safety deficiencies. 

The engineer advises that the referenced project is substantially complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

This item was included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
