Final Public Hearing on the Millage Rates and Budget for the 2012-2013 Fiscal Year (FY) (Business Division)

  • Adopt the Final 2012-2013 Millage Rates, as presented
  • Adopt the 2012-2013 Budget, as presented
  • Approve the Resolution Adopting the Final Millage Rates and Budget
  • Approve the Procedures for Lottery Funds
  • Authorize Staff to perform all tasks to insure compliance with F.S. 200.065 Truth in Millage (TRIM)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On July 31, 2012, the First Public Hearing was held to discuss and adopt the FY 2012-2013 proposed millage rates and tentative budget, as advertised in the Tampa Tribune on Friday, July 27, 2012. 

In accordance with TRIM requirements, the Board must hold a final public hearing 65-80 days after the Property Appraiser certifies the tax roll to allow for any public discussion. 

The proposed millage rate for 2012-2013 is 7.8770 mills, the maximum rate allowed by law.
